The Nightingale (2024)
In everyone's heart, the nightingale carries different symbolic meanings; it can symbolize freedom, but also music, loneliness, healing, or inner desire. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's "The Nightingale", this project uses process drama as an interdisciplinary method. The teaching plan is presented in a booklet that forms a birdcage shape, which breaks apart when unfolded, symbolizing the nightingale's pursuit of freedom and limitless possibilities in education.
Alice in Bed (2024)
Adapted from Susan Sontag's Alice in Bed, the play is a fantasy based on the life of Alice James. The script blends reality and fantasy to depict Alice’s inner struggle and her yearning for freedom during more than twenty years of bedridden illness.
How I Learned to Drive (2023)
Adapted from the work How I Learned to Drive by contemporary American playwright Paula Vogel. The play unfolds in a non-linear fashion, beginning with the narration of 35-year-old Li’l Bit. Spanning nearly thirty years, the character’s journey is portrayed through multiple flashbacks and monologues, revealing Li’l Bit's complex relationship with her memories and traumas.
The Loves of Lady Purple (2023)
Adapted from Angela Carter's The Loves of Lady Purple. Violet, a puppet created by Professor P, Violet plays the role of the prostitute Lady Purple under his control. However, after the 981st performance, Violet suddenly gained consciousness. The play explores the struggles and power of women navigating multiple identities.
Vanishing Days (2018)
In the sweltering summer of 2009, Li Senlin, a girl from a southern city, embarks on a journey to find inspiration for her composition.
